About the CMS Policy Speaker Series

As part of CMS Application efforts, the CMS Policy Speaker Series brings together developers and users of carbon related products in an effort to expand the knowledge of how CMS products can be used by decision makers, data user groups, the broader CMS community, and by those in the public policy realm. The series aims to present the challenges that arise when designing and implementing environmental policies and regulations as part of a carbon monitoring system.

Each speaker in the series brings a unique perspective to a CMS product related-expertise.  The speakers series strives to not only hold transparent discussions between the speaker and the audience about how CMS plans to create and deliver carbon data products, but also aims to stimulate a dialog between developers and users in an effort to improve CMS product development and applications.  Discussions from this series will enable CMS product developers and end users to to provide guidance about data needs and timely opportunities relevant to climate policy agenda at the local, federal, and international levels.

The CMS Policy Series is guided by recommendations from the audience and will feature speakers from diverse backgrounds such as governmental agencies, non-profit organizations, commercial businesses, and academic institutions.

All presentations will be broadcast live for remote participants as well as recorded and shared on the CMS website.  Please visit the Applications Policy Speaker Series to view previous presentations.

We encourage participants to provide feedback and suggestion for future speakers.  Please inform us if you have a speaker you are interested in inviting to Goddard.   We welcome any and all feedback to improve the Policy Speaker Series. Please direct your suggestions to cms_policy@cce.nasa.gov
