Charlotte Streck is a Co-founder and Director of Climate Focus. She serves as an advisor to numerous governments and non-profit organizations, private companies, and foundations on legal aspects of climate policy, international negotiations, policy development and implementation. She is also a renowned international expert on climate change mitigation and adaptation in the agricultural and forestry sectors. Prior to founding Climate Focus, Charlotte served from 2000 to 2005 as Senior Counsel with the World Bank in Washington, DC. Charlotte serves on several advisory and investment committees, is a board member of Climate Strategies and is an adjunct lecturer at Potsdam University. She is a prolific writer, lecturer, and is an associate editor of the journal Climate Policy. Concerned about communicating the complexity of environmental problems, Charlotte dedicates a part of her time to a project that uses the arts to raise awareness of environmental problems. Charlotte holds degrees from the University of Regensburg (MSc in Biology) and Humboldt University (JD and PhD in law). |

Stephanie Roe is a Senior Land-use Consultant at Climate Focus and a PhD researcher at the University of Virginia. At Climate Focus, she advises various government agencies, multilateral organizations and foundations, and implements projects on land use planning, policy and investments, agriculture strategies, terrestrial carbon monitoring, and commodity supply chains. At the University of Virginia, she researches biosphere-atmosphere dynamics and the terrestrial carbon sink’s response and feedback to climate change. Prior to joining Climate Focus, Stephanie worked with the United Nations to implement a program on reducing deforestation in Indonesia’s pilot province, Central Kalimantan. She has also negotiated international climate policy as a Delegate for the Philippine Delegation to the UNFCCC, and was a consultant to the Public Ministry in Brazil on ecosystem service valuation and climate change legislation. Prior to that, Stephanie advised Fortune 500 companies and cities on sustainability initiatives and climate policies as a Program Manager with The Climate Group in New York. Stephanie is currently completing a PhD in Environmental Sciences at the University of Virginia, and received a MEM in Ecosystem Science from Duke University and a BA from San Diego State University. |
