About the Talk

C40 Cities Climate Leadership Group, founded in 2005, is a growing network of 91 of the world’s megacities committed to addressing climate change by reducing greenhouse gas emissions and preparing cities for increasing climate risks. The talk and discussion will focus on how C40 is leveraging political leadership, city expertise, data standards and technical assistance to empower member cities to meet the highest ambition of the Paris Agreement--limiting global temperature increases to 1.5ºC. C40 staff are very interested to learn more about NASA climate and carbon monitoring which can be applied to U.S. and global cities.
